Something I don't understand here...?

Now, homophobes, you often say that your god doesn't like homosexuals and all, and that they're "going to hell" by being homosexual. Now. Homosexual marriage affects you in no way, except that once in awhile maybe you get an invitation to one. Big whoop. Obviously, these people do not care if they are supposedly "going to hell", so why do you go against gay marriage? It in no way affects you, they don't seem to care the punishments, they just want to be happy. Does this mean you are against people's happiness?
