Is this a fair punishment?

2 days ago I tried one of my dad's half smoked cigarettes just to try it. He found out because apparently he wasn't done with it. when he asked I told him that I did do it and that i didn't like it at all. So for punishment I am not allowed to leave my house for the rest of summer :\ wich is from now until August 16th, first day of school. I am 15
